This year’s online CMTUK Conference 2023 takes place on Friday 21st April and Saturday 22nd April, after our online AGM.

Who is the Conference for?

If you would like to learn more about CMT (Charcot-Marie-Tooth) and the latest CMT updates, find out what help is available for the CMT community, as well as meeting people from the community, then this conference is for you.

The conference is ideal for members or non-members of CMTUK, people living with CMT and their friends, colleagues and family.

It is also ideal for medical students with an interest in CMT as well as medical professionals such as GPs, physiotherapists, podiatrists, or occupational therapists.

What is included in the conference?

We have some really insightful speaker sessions lined up for you.

The live sessions include a Q&A section, where you can put your question to the speakers during the session. The speaker sessions include:

• A CMT update from Dr Alex Rossor, Honorary Consultant Neurologist, outlining recent advances in genetic diagnosis and treatments for CMT
• CMT and the role of Occupational Therapy by Tessa Craver, Specialist Occupational Therapist
• Video from Rareminds, an organisation that provides counselling and wellbeing for rare disease communities
• Uncovering benefits for those with a health condition or disability, by Citizens Advice
• CMT research updates from CMTUK, RNOH, CMTRF, CMTA and HNF
• Gentle movement and chair fitness session

Will there be an opportunity to meet others from the community?

Yes, there are many opportunities for you to meet likeminded people from the CMT community in the lobby area (open between speaker sessions).

Plus, the expo area will be open over lunchtime on both days (12.30-1.30) and after the last speaker sessions on both days, where you can meet, chat and ask questions of selected organisations as well as some CMTUK staff and Trustees.

There are several ticket prices

• £15 for a CMTUK member
• £15 for students
• £25 for medical professionals
• £25 for non-members of CMTUK
• concession tickets are available for members on low income (please contact us for more information)

Please fill in the registration form and select your ticket type. Please note that when you click on ‘register’, the site directs you to sign into your zoom account (or create a new basic (free) account). Once you have filled in those details, you will be asked to fill in the registration form and to select your ticket type.

CMTUK 2023 Conference: Sponsor

At Fledglings we have a collection of products that can help children and young adults that suffer with CMT. We have specialist footwear, oral care solutions and toys of course.
