About Trailblazers
Trailblazers is a national network of more than 400 young disabled people who work together on a national and local level to highlight and address the issues that are important to them.
We aim to fight the social injustices experienced by young disabled people and to ensure we can gain access to education, employment and the services we require. We are part of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, the leading UK charity focusing on muscular dystrophy and other related conditions.

Our mission
To fight against the social injustices experienced by young people living with muscle disease or a related condition.
Our vision
A world where having muscle disease or a related condition like CMT is not a barrier to someone accessing mainstream opportunities, facilities and services.
Our aims
To ensure all young people with muscle disease or a related condition can gain access to the education, employment and services they require.
To build a UK wide network of young people who campaign and raise awareness on issues that affect people living with muscle disease and related conditions.
To provide all Trailblazers with an opportunity to develop new skills, make friends and campaign on issues that are important to them.
Go to http://www.mdctrailblazers.org/ to find out what reports they’ve written that might be relevant to you, and how you can help. Remember, just because they’re run by the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign doesn’t mean that someone with CMT can’t join – it’s open to anyone with a neuro-muscular condition… that’s you!
