When Mum died, I asked people to donate to Charcot-Marie-Tooth UK instead of buying flowers. Mum had struggled with her CMT all her life, and I know she would have been happy that the funds were being put to good use

Remembering someone close to you by asking friends and family to make a donation to do Charcot-Marie-Tooth UK in their memory can be a positive way to honour their life whilst helping us to bring hope to those who have been affected by this condition all their lives.
And we recognise that it’s not just about the money, it’s also about trying to tackle the disease that has caused so many difficulties throughout their lives. Often, being able to provide somewhere where positive memories of that person who is no longer with you can be kept alive can feel like the right thing to do.

If you would like to specify where your donations are used, there are three main funds – General Fund, which funds the website, magazine, helpline service, publications, awareness campaigns, and the day to day administration of the organisation; CMT Kids, funding all our youth work and of course, Research, helping us fund a treatment for CMT.
