Supporting people affected by Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.

Run a Marathon!

So you want to run a Marathon?

Thank you for choosing to run and fundraise for Charcot-Marie-Tooth UK. You will make a huge difference to the 25,000 people thought to be affected by Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in the UK.

If you are new to fundraising for charity, you might feel a bit daunted by the task. Being given a minimum sponsorship target can feel more daunting that doing the actual run. But don’t worry, we’ll try to support you as much as we possibly can.

These are the events that we have guaranteed places for so far for 2016.  We are investigating adding some more as time goes on.

In all cases, you pay nothing to us for your place, but we would like you to raise AT LEAST £500!  You can read elsewhere in this section all about setting up Justgiving pages etc.

Once you’ve chosen where you would like to run, drop me an email on fundraising@cmt.org.uk and we can send you a running shirt, and any other resources that you might think you’ll need!

If there are other Marathons that you’d like us to investigate “guaranteed” places for, please email on fundraising@cmt.org.uk.  We can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to do them all, and we definitely CANNOT get places in the London Marathon, but we’ll see what we can do.

The reason we can’t get places for the London Marathon is that even the waiting list for the Gold or Silver Bond places is closed, so there is no chance of any charity acquiring places now…. and to be honest, even if we could, I doubt they’d be affordable.
