Being held at Whitemoor Lakes Activity Centre near Lichfield in Staffordshire, all details will be posted on the CMT Festival page when they are available.
This venue is ideally located, fifteen minutes from the M6 Toll road, and 10 minutes from the nearest Railway Station in Lichfield. It’s pretty much next door to the beautiful National Memorial Arboretum and has a beautiful lake.
The accommodation is pretty basic – all rooms have single beds in them, usually with a set of bunks too. Bedding is provided, but you may have to make up your own bed! You will need to bring your own towels, but rest assured, all rooms are en suite – all rooms apart from the accessible rooms have a bath with a shower over (but they do have various items of equipment such as bath seats, hand rails and mats to help you – just ask). There is a room with a wet room, but we would like to reserve that for those who really need it, so please let us know if this is the case. But please understand, the rooms don’t have any of the creature comforts of a hotel – drinks can made at the kitchenette which is part of the lodge, nor do they have televisions, except in the communal
Rooms are shared, so if you want to bring a friend or partner, that’s fine, just let you know and we’ll make sure you’re together.
The event will run from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon and is all inclusive – includes all meals and all activities. The Centre is strictly a no alcohol zone, but don’t worry, the local town is only 5-10 minutes away if you need a well earned glass of wine at the end of he day.
Activities offered will include high ropes, archery, challenge course, canoeing, problem solving and climbing – although we haven’t decided the exact programme just yet. As always, all the activities are “disabled-friendly” but they are not compulsory – if you want to sit and relax by the lake then feel free – although we would love you to join in, of course!
